It is so beautiful today. Sometimes the amazing weather here makes me want run out and shout at the clouds, "Rain already!" Sam, Katie and I went to a pumpkin patch today (a California phenomenon. I don't remember them as a part of my Utah childhood.) and I was regretting not bringing my sunscreen...at the end of October!! I have many memories of freezing my legs off while trick or treating because I refused to cover up my costume with snow pants. Here we are, Halloween is in a week, and I'm afraid that the kids will dehydrate in their monkey suits. I know those reading this who live in more typical climates will roll their eyes, but admit it. It feels so good to wake up, look out the window and know that today is definately a sweater day. When you do find yourself smiling at the bite in the wind and sunlight filtering through the yellowing aspens, think of me in California and know that eternal spring isn't always paradise.
