We took an morning trip to the San Jose County Children's Fair last week. The kids loved it. Sam loved it so much he insisted on taking Nathan back on Saturday so he could hold the bunnies, too. It was quite an operation. The whole thing was put on by local chapters of 4H. Wow! There were chickens, bunnies, sheep, pigs, cows (where does one raise a pig or a cow in the Bay Area?! The back patio?) table settings, pies, paintings, horse stunts...just tons of things that kids were doing and showing.
Sam got to ride a horse. He says he loved it, but his face was pretty tense the whole ride...
The tiny tractors were a little safer according to Sam. He protested being the older brother here. "Mommy! Get her out! She's too heavy!"
So Katie took things into her own very capable hands.

Katie is getting so big... and more hair. Its fun to see how quickly they change when they are young.
